Delonte West got out of the gates early for the Celtics, sparking a couple of fast breaks with his defense and finishing them with aggressive drives to the rim. West finished with seven points, two rebounds, and one assist in the first quarter.

  • Celtics coach Doc Rivers said before the game he hopes to have both Wally Szczerbiak and Brian Scalabrine back on Wednesday. The coach said Szczerbiak (ankle injury) worked out Monday morning and Scalabrine (knee) should practice Tuesday.
