  • Doc Rivers got off the bench and yelled at Wally Szczerbiak after a quick shot midway through the third quarter. Rivers chided his forward all the way down the court for not taking more time off the shot clock before looking at the basket.
  • The crowd grew restless as the wheels came off Boston’s train in the third quarter. The groans grew louder with every missed shot as New York padded its lead. The Celtics scored just 14 points in the quarter on 4-for-17 shooting. They mised all four three-point attempts in the period.
