Bruins sign Jakob Forsbacka Karlsson to entry-level contract
The Bruins signed another of their coveted prospects on Sunday, inking Boston University sophomore forward Jakob Forsbacka Karlsson to a three-entry level deal.
Per the club’s media release, issued shortly after 6 p.m. as the club flew home after its win here over the Hawks, JFK will report directly to the varsity and sidestep the club’s AHL affiliate in Providence.
The savvy forward, who is now eligible to make his NHL debut as early as Tuesday night vs. Tampa, joins the club at a time when second- and third-line scoring needs a boost, despite the club’s recent strong run (17-7-0) under interim coach Bruce Cassidy.
