Dalai Lama Speaks at TD Garden, Dons Bruins Cap
The Bruins are set to play the Ottawa Senators at home on Saturday, but earlier in the day, the TD Garden hosted a special guest: the Dalai Lama.
During his speech at the Garden, the Dalai Lama showed support for the local hockey club, donning a Bruins cap, as seen below in a photo from the TD Garden’s official Twitter account.

The Dalai Lama was in Boston for four days before heading to New York to conclude his trip to North America. He spoke at the Wang Theatre on Thursday, spoke at the Boston Marriott Copley and participated in a panel discussion at MIT on Friday, and was at the Garden on Saturday.
The Bruins’ morning skate at the Garden was cancelled due to the event. They host the Senators on Saturday at 7:00 p.m., with the B’s looking to get above the .500 mark since winning their season opener on Oct. 8.
