The T’s Stony Brook Station is only two-tenths of a mile from our Home of the Week, but our Home of the Week comes with garage parking should troubled times return to the Orange Line.

The private one-bay garage (it can hold two vehicles parked in tandem) serves as the foundation for this multilevel condo, one of seven units in the new development. The garage space includes two storage closets, interior stairs to the first level, and a door to the shared yard.

The first level of this JP condo has an open layout encompassing the kitchen, dining, and living areas, with red oak flooring, quartz counters, recessed lighting, and multiple windows. The stairwell opens directly into the middle of this level, into a dining area that holds a six-person oval table with room to spare.

The kitchen, found to the right, features an island with a quartz top, seating for three, and a pair of modern pendant lights — glowing orbs framed in gold. Textured white subway tiles add pretty texture to the space, creating a seamless transition from the white gloss cabinets above to the engineered hardwood cabinets below. The Thermador appliances are stainless steel, the cabinets have undermount lighting, and an office nook is positioned in the corner next to the door to the private deck.

The half bath, which is also off the kitchen, offers a single vanity with a quartz counter, as well as large-format porcelain tile flooring.

At the opposite end of the floor is an area set aside for couch potatoes or avid readers who want good light. There is plenty of wall space in the living room for that big-screen TV, and four windows fill the space with natural light.

A stairwell off the living area ascends to the upper level, where one finds the primary suite, two secondary bedrooms, the guest bath, and the laundry closet.

The primary suite has four windows, red oak flooring, and a walk-in closet with custom shelving. The en-suite bath features a double vanity with a quartz top and the same lower cabinets found in the kitchen. Other highlights: a ceramic tile floor and a shower behind clear-glass doors with a rain shower head and a quartz surround.

The remaining two bedrooms come with double-door closets and a pair of windows. They share a full bath that has a single vanity topped with quartz, a shower/tub combination, and large-format porcelain tile flooring.

The condo has central air and forced-hot air gas heat. The monthly fee covers the electricity, water, sewer, insurance, maintenance of the grounds, snow removal, and the reserve funds.
