How You Can Help Nepal
Thousands were killed and injured in Saturday’s earthquake.
Relief efforts have begun for those affected by the magnitude 7.8 earthquake in Nepal. The country’s confirmed death toll from the quake is 4,355 and 8,063 have been injured, a Nepali official told the Associated Press. The earthquake also has destroyed historic parts of the country’s capital of Kathmandu and caused avalanches on Mount Everest.

Shelters have been set up, and with help from international teams, rescuers have begun to search for survivors even while aftershocks continued into Sunday.
