Group of children hit by car in South End

Four children and one adult were treated on scene and taken to a local hospital for further evaluation, police said.

A group of children were hit by a vehicle Thursday morning while crossing at a Boston intersection, police said.

At 10:29 a.m., police found one adult and a group of children who were struck by a vehicle while crossing at the intersection of Harrison and East Brookline Streets, the Boston Police Department told Boston.com.

Four children and the adult were treated at the scene and taken to a local hospital for further evaluation, BPD said.

The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene, police said. 

Boston police are actively investigating the incident, BPD said.
