Organizers of Saturday’s No Kings Boston protest have announced a lineup of elected officials, civic leaders, and performers set to appear at the rally on Boston Common.
The event is scheduled from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 28. Organizers say the protest could draw more than 100,000 people, making it one of the largest demonstrations in Boston this year. Rahsaan Hall, president and CEO of the Urban League of Eastern Massachusetts, is set to emcee the rally.
Organizers say additional speakers will address issues including attacks on the LGBTQIA+ community and US aggression at home and abroad.
Chainsaw artist Kat Dressler is expected to carve a 24-foot-long “END ICE” ice sculpture. Attendees will also be invited to add their own messages to a 45-foot-long interactive mural titled “We the Powerful.”
