Online fundraiser set up for family injured in West Roxbury pedestrian crash

West Roxbury Crash:
An online fundraiser has been set up for the family of five injured in a pedestrian crash in West Roxbury Friday morning.
So far, the GoFundMe to benefit Mark and Jess Tobin, and their three children, ages 3, 1, and 1, has raised nearly $72,000, easily surpassing the $10,000 stated goal.
“Each member of the family sustained significant injuries in the accident, and will need as much support as they can get for their upcoming recovery,” the fundraiser says.
Just before 10 a.m. Friday, the family of five was involved in a crash while they were walking near Centre and Hastings streets. A photo from the scene showed a pickup truck that appeared to be leaning over a retaining wall and a stroller laying on its side.

One child was said to be seriously injured; none involved appeared to have life-threatening injuries, officials said at the time.
