Swimmer found unresponsive in New Hampshire lake, later dies
MEREDITH, N.H. (AP) — A woman swimming in Lake Waukewan in the town of Meredith, New Hampshire, was found unresponsive and later died, authorities said.
The woman, Amanda Daigle, 22, of Trumbull, Connecticut, was found unconscious a short distance from shore while swimming with acquaintances on Wednesday, the state police’s marine patrol said. She was brought to shore, where CPR was performed until first responders arrived.
Daigle later died at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. An autopsy was planned Friday.
