Thursday saw more rallies and vigils across the Boston region protesting police violence that followed the killings of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and other Black Americans at the hands of law enforcement.
At Boston Medical Center, health care workers held an 8 minute 46 second moment of silence, marking the amount of time Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin pinned Floyd down with a knee on his neck, in a scene that was captured on video and widely shared.
Rallies were also held elsewhere in Massachusetts, including in Saugus and Tyngsborough.
