Daily local protests demanding justice for George Floyd and other Black Americans killed by law enforcement continued Wednesday in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, led by a large march and rally in Boston.
That march, led by members of the city’s Black youth who organized the For the People coalition, began at Nubian Square and proceeded to Boston’s City Hall Plaza.

Boston:

Hundreds of youths marched from Nubian Square to City Hall Wednesday, demanding that the city reallocate 10 percent of the police budget to community needs.
Salem:

The Get Off Our Necks: A Caravan and Protest for Racial Justice started at the Essex Superior Court in Salem.

Rev. Bernadette Hickman-Maynard, pastor at Bethel AME in Lynn, spoke in front of the Essex County Superior Court.
Lynn:

The Get Off Our Necks: A Caravan and Protest for Racial Justice started in front of the Essex County Superior Court before heading to the Lynn Police Department and Lynn Common.

Hundreds of protesters in Lynn Common took a knee for 8 minutes and 49 seconds, representing the time a Minneapolis police officer knelt on George Floyd’s neck.
Providence, R.I.:
