Jennifer Washburn, of Keene, New Hampshire, died at the scene.
WALPOLE, N.H. (AP) — A passenger on a motorcycle died after the bike collided with a United Parcel Service delivery van, police in New Hampshire said.
The crash happened Thursday afternoon on Route 123 in Walpole, state police said. The van had pulled out of a driveway and turned to head south on the road when the driver of the northbound motorcycle lost control of his vehicle and crossed the center line. The motorcycle crashed into the van.
Jennifer Washburn, 23, of Keene, New Hampshire, a passenger on the bike, died at the scene. The driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital. The UPS driver was not hurt.
State police say speed appears to be a factor in the crash, but they are still investigating.
