Man injured when airborne snowmobile lands on post
Officials said a 60-year-old man was riding on Corridor 18 on Saturday when his machine went over a rise, became airborne and landed on a wooden post.
COLEBROOK, N.H. (AP) — Excessive speed appears to be a factor in a snowmobile crash in Colebrook, authorities said Sunday.
New Hampshire Fish and Game said a 60-year-old man from Derry was riding on Corridor 18 on Saturday when his machine went over a rise, became airborne and landed on a wooden post. The rider was thrown off the snowmobile and hit the ground head first.
A passerby brought him to the hospital, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
