What Bostonians need to know this week
Welcome back to reality, Boston. Nik is busy eating leftovers, so I’m taking over. Here’s what you need to know as you shake off your tryptophan-induced food coma and gear up for the week ahead.
What you missed over the weekend:
Patriots fillet the fish: The Patriots took care of business Sunday, dispatching the Dolphins 35-17 and stretching their streak to seven games. The Pats have a comfortable lead in the AFC East divisional race and control their own destiny with four of five final regular season games coming against division opponents.Holiday horns: More than 100 horn players played a rousing concert outside Faneuil Hall Saturday afternoon as part of the 32nd annual Boston Tuba Christmas. If you missed it, watch and listen to the performance here. The C’s are back: The Celtics bounced back from Wednesday’s streak-snapping loss to the Miami Heat with a 118-103 win over the Orlando Magic and a 108-98 win over the Indiana Pacers. With a little more than 25 percent of their season in the books, Boston is a league-best 18-3.Trump’s Time-ly tweets: The president of the United States tweeted Friday that Time Magazine called him to say he would “probably” be named “Person of the Year” if he agreed to “an interview and a major photo shoot.” Trump also said that “probably” wasn’t good enough, and declined. “The President is incorrect about how we choose Person of the Year. TIME does not comment on our choice until publication, which is December 6,” the magazine tweeted in response.
What to know this week:
It’ll be chilly: Cold and wind are in the forecast for most of the week, according to the National Weather Service. The lone highlight is Wednesday, which should have highs in the 50s.

Tired of Thanksgiving leftovers? The Boston Globe has a few inventive recipes to add some variety to your secondhand Thanksgiving fare, as well as a recipe for turkey soup from former Massachusetts Governor and turkey leftover acolyte Michael Dukakis. But if you just plan to throw everything in the fridge between slices of bread, at least read a fun history of the leftover sandwich while chowing down.
Hillary is in town: Hillary Clinton will be at the Boston Opera House Tuesday as part of her nationwide book tour for “What Happened,” in which she considers her career and politics and discusses the 2016 presidential election. On the subject of book promotion and the 2016 election, senior democratic operative Donna Brazile, who made waves after claiming in her book that Clinton’s team “rigged the nomination process,” will be on WGBH’s Greater Boston with hose Jim Braude Monday night at 7 p.m.
Remembering Cocoanut Grove: Survivors and families of the nearly 500 victims of the deadly Cocoanut Grove nightclub fire gathered in Boston on Saturday to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the tragedy. The anniversary is Tuesday, November 28.
