The Hopkinton Police Department shared a photo of the counterfeit plate.
Police in Hopkinton are offering some advice to anyone considering making their own fake license plates after one driver fashioned one out of a pizza box. “1. Don’t,” the department wrote of creating bogus plates. “2. But if you do, make sure not to use cardboard from a pizza box and magic markers.”The department shared a photo on Facebook of the counterfeit plate, saying the “creative” driver is facing charges including operating an uninsured and unregistered vehicle and attaching “fake home made plates.”
