This map shows every town without power in Massachusetts
Thousands of people across Massachusetts remained without power Tuesday after a storm of high winds and heavy rains hit Sunday, bringing down power lines and trees in the region.A map from the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency shows more than 115,000 customers had no electricity as of about 10 a.m.
North Andover, Boxford, and Topsfield were among the towns where between 50 and 75 percent of customers remained in the dark.
MEMA said utility company Eversource is reporting that power restoration for its customers is expected to be “substantially complete” by midnight, while National Grid says its damage assessment is “ongoing.”

“Power may not be restored to all homes for another one to three days,” the state agency said in a statement.
MEMA is encouraging people who don’t have power to prepare and make other plans.
“Residents without power may wish to leave their homes until power is restored and stay with friends, family, neighbors, or in a hotel,” the agency said. “Residents may also call their local public safety officials or 2-1-1 to find out if their community, or another community in their region, is operating a warming center or overnight shelter.”
