Driver strikes cement barrier near tollbooth, dies
BEDFORD, N.H. (AP) — Police say a 22-year-old New Hampshire driver has died after he struck a cement barrier at a tollbooth entrance and was ejected from his car.
Police said car driven by Zachary Mattson, of Manchester, struck the barrier at the Bedford Toll Plaza on the Everett Turnpike at about 6:15 p.m. Sunday. The car rolled several times before Mattson was ejected. He died at the scene.
Three lanes of the turnpike were closed for several hours.
