This is how long grocery store lines were today
If you haven’t stocked up before the big storm tomorrow, you might want to skip the grocery store altogether tonight.
Grocers and retailers around the region were reportedly chock full of storm preppers on Monday as residents stocked up on milk, bread, and gear to combat the snow and ice.
A Boston Globe employee shot video (above) that showed the line at the Market Basket in Somerville winding through the store on Monday evening.
He wasn’t the only one who noticed.

A reporter for WBZ noted that the line at the Market Basket in Chelsea was “around the corner” around 1 p.m. Monday.

According to an NBC reporter, the Market Basket in Leominster was packed around 5 p.m., but extra workers were called in to keep up with demand.

The Roche Bros. grocery store in Boston’s Downtown Crossing also had quite a long checkout line.

Much of Massachusetts is expected to get more than a foot of snow during Tuesday’s storm, with up to 15 inches predicted for Boston, according to forecasters.
