These Boston-area businesses are closed for ‘A Day Without Immigrants’
More than a dozen businesses and restaurants in the Boston area closed their doors Thursday as part of a nationwide protest against President Donald Trump’s stance toward immigrants.
For “A Day Without Immigrants,” immigrants across the country are staying home from work and school to express their defiance against Trump’s policies toward America’s immigrant community, including a travel ban — currently blocked by a federal judge — that halted refugees and visitors from seven Muslim-majority nations from entering the U.S.
Here are some of the businesses that are closed today in solidarity with the boycott:
