South Street Diner robbed by armed thief

A popular Boston eatery near South Station was robbed early Tuesday morning.

Boston police said the armed robbery at the South Street Diner, which was built in 1947, took place around 6:14 a.m.

Police said did not say what kind of weapon was shown or how much was stolen during the theft at the 24-hour restaurant. No one was injured.
