Car crashes into front of Burlington liquor store
No one was injured after a driver in Burlington crashed into a liquor store in Burlington shortly before noon Tuesday, officials said.
However, the crash was not without casualties.
According to Old Town Liquors co-owner William Toulopoulos, a number of wine cases were knocked down and broken.
The accident also did structural damage to the building, located in a Cambridge Street plaza. Burlington Fire Capt. Kevin Brown said the crash “buckled” the brick wall. According to Toulopoulos, the storefront would have to be rebuilt.
Burlington Fire officials tweeted Tuesday that the building inspector had been notified.

Browne said luckily no one was on sidewalk when the driver apparently overshot their parking spot. Burlington Police were still investigating the exact cause of the accident Tuesday afternoon.
Toulopoulos said that they were still working to get an assessment from the insurance company estimating the damage done to the storefront, as well as the amount of wine lost.
