Doctors amputated the left foot of a 7-year-old boy from Northborough after he was accidentally run over by a lawn mower, reports CBS Boston.

Isaac Harrington was playing with his mother during a trip to Maryland when someone operating a large commercial lawn mower threw the machine into reverse without looking and ran over the boy’s leg, Isaac’s mother Samantha Harrington told CBS.

“We were down there having such a great time and in an instant our lives changed,” Harrington told CBS.

Isaac is being treated at John Hopkins Children’s Center in Baltimore, where doctors have operated on him twice since the August 3 accident. The family has set up a Go Fund Me page to help the family pay for Isaac’s medical bills. The page has raised more than $16,000 in five days.

“Isaac is a fighter,” writes his family on the page. “He is strong and we know that he will be able to hike play baseball, swim, dance, jump, ride his bike, and do so many more things in the future.”
