Police identify man killed in Mattapan shooting
Boston police identified the man shot to death at a Saturday “barbecue gone awry” as Andrew Flonory, 31, of Boston.
Police said in a statement Monday the investigation into the shooting in Mattapan that killed Flonory and injured another victim remains ongoing.
Officers responded to the scene on Astoria Street around 11 p.m. Saturday and found Flonory suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim, found nearby suffering from gunshot wounds, was transported to Brigham and Women’s hospital and is expected to survive.
Police responded to a separate shooting that injured three people the same evening in Dorchester.
