The suspect grabbed the cash register and tried to leave the store, but the clerk locked the door, said police. That’s when the robber used the cash register to smash the door and dive from the building through the broken glass. Before fleeing, the man dropped his knife, said police.
Police say the suspect is a white male, 6-foot-4-inches tall, 250 pounds, and about 35 years old, and was wearing a gray sweatshirt and sweatpants. He may also have injuries from jumping through the broken glass. He was last seen in a blue SUV heading toward Lawrence.
Police released the following video of the incident and are asking anyone who recognizes the suspect to call 978-983-8698.
