The suspect entered undetected through the roof of the Lincoln Stoddard Army Reserve Center. The armory’s alarm was turned off due to construction work taking place at the building, according to CBS Boston. A total of 16 weapons were stolen — six assault rifles and 10 9mm handguns — between 6 p.m. Saturday and 1 a.m. Sunday. The FBI does not suspect terrorism, according to the Associated Press.
“I’m especially concerned about it — separate and apart from anything that has to do with terrorism — I’m just concerned by the fact that some really high caliber weapons were stolen from a military facility in the first place,’’ Governor Charlie Baker told reporters Monday.
CBS Boston reports that police are looking for a light-skinned man with a stocky build who is between 5’7’’ to 5’10’’ tall. He was wearing a white t-shirt and dark-colored vest.
