Boston Bouncer Charged With Assault After Alleged Altercation With Customer
A bouncer working at Boston’s The Place nightclub was charged with assault and battery on Thursday after he allegedly used a door and his fist to knock out a New Hampshire man during an altercation over the summer.
Kevin Blackmore, 37, is accused of getting violently involved in a July 19 argument just outside the nightclub between The Place’s staff and one of its customers. Blackmore allegedly threw a door open into the victim and then punched him in the face. The victim was knocked unconscious, fell to the ground, and struck his head on the sidewalk. According to the Suffolk County District Attorney, he sustained a serious head injury.
Blackmore was released without bail and was told not to contact the victim or return to the location of the incident. He is set to appear in court again on December 3.
