Forbes released its list of America’s top 500 colleges, and Bay State schools dominated the list.

Ranking in first place again this year is MIT with a 20-year median salary of $196,900, average debt of about $12,000, and an A+ financial grade.

More on Mass. Schools

MIT students earn a median salary of $110,200 three years after graduating, and 99.8% of students return to the college for sophomore year, Forbes said.

Massachusetts had the most schools in the top 10, with Harvard University ranked at number 6 and Williams College, which Forbes calls a “Little Ivy,” at number 7. Both schools have an A+ financial grade and an average debt of $8,000, but the 20-year median salary is slighter higher at Harvard at $177,000 compared to $173,000 at Williams.

Amherst College (19), Wellesley College (29) and Boston University (45) were the only other Bay State Schools in the top 50. But, Massachusetts had 30 colleges on the list in total.

Forbes wrote, “The 500 schools below are ranked based exclusively on outcomes for undergraduates, but it’s worth noting that American graduate education is primed for a huge shakeup as Congress caps how much graduate students can borrow, and the Trump administration curbs research spending and student visas.”
