Boston police officers who responded to a reported break-in on Beacon Hill Saturday found a naked man who allegedly made himself comfortable inside a family’s Myrtle Street home.
One of the home’s residents told officers he went downstairs around 8 a.m. and found a nude man sitting on the couch and smoking what appeared to be a crack pipe, the Boston Police Department said. The resident immediately returned upstairs to secure his children and call 911.
While police noted the children were frightened by the situation, they reportedly remained upstairs and had no contact with the naked man.
Upon their arrival at the home, officers heard noises coming from a second-floor bathroom and opened the door to find the man sitting naked on the toilet, Boston police said.
Officers detained the man and brought him to Nashua Street Jail for booking. He is expected to face charges of vandalism, open and gross lewdness, and putting lawful residents in fear by breaking and entering during the daytime with intent to commit a felony.
