Mass. woman, 20, faces OUI manslaughter charges in crash that killed two
The crash killed a 19- and 20-year-old, police say.
A 20-year-old from North Brookfield is facing manslaughter charges following an alleged drunken driving crash that claimed the lives of two men, authorities said.
Prosecutors allege that on Dec. 26, 2026, Faith O’Rourke was driving a car that crashed and killed two men, 20-year-old Connor Post and 19-year-old Michael Publicover.
The crash occurred at 4:25 a.m. on Hubbardston Road — Route 62 — near Cummings Road in Barre, according to police.
Post and Publicover were declared dead at the scene, while O’Rourke was transported to a hospital with serious injuries, police said.
O’Rourke was arraigned in Worcester Superior Court Thursday, according to a statement from the Worcester District Attorney’s office.

O’Rourke faces multiple charges, including two counts of involuntary manslaughter, two counts of manslaughter by motor vehicle, and two counts of motor vehicle homicide — both by reckless operation and by operating under the influence.
Additionally, she was charged with one count of operating under the influence and one count of negligent operation of a motor vehicle, according to the district attorney’s office.
O’Rourke’s attorney had no comment at this time.
Authorities said bail was set at $5,000. The conditions require O’Rourke to refrain from driving, remain alcohol-free, and submit to random screenings. She also must have no contact with and stay away from the victims’ families and any witnesses.
