Police: Woman attacked bank manager with a hole punch
A New Hampshire woman was arrested and charged with assault after police say she attacked a bank manager with a hole punch on Thursday.

Leanne E. Yerian, of Salem, was charged with assault.
Leanne E. Yerian, 35, of Salem, allegedly attacked a Bank of America manager just after 4 p.m. when the manager refused to cash a check for her. Yerian picked up a metal hole punch from the desk and hit the manager on the head, according to the Salem Police Department.
“The woman then jumped on the manager, pulled her hair, and slammed her up against the wall,” said police.
Police say the victim told them that Yerian strangled her to the point that she could not call for help.
When a male co-worker rushed to his manager’s aid, Yerian struck him on the back of the neck and scratched him, said police.
Yerian then fled from the bank and drove away. Police say they stopped her a short distance later.
Yerian was charged with second-degree assault, strangulation, and two counts of simple assault. She was held overnight in the Rockingham County jail on $5,000 cash bail.
She is scheduled to be arraigned in the 10th Circuit Court District Division on Friday.
