Man wanted on multiple warrants found hiding in box spring, say police
A Maine man wanted on multiple charges, including domestic violence assault and unlawful sexual contact, was found by police hiding inside a box spring Wednesday, The Bangor Daily News reports.
Police had been looking for Zachary McFarlin, 21, of Newport, Maine, for almost two months before a tip led officers to a home in Newport where he was arrested, according to the paper.
According to the Daily News, McFarlin was inside a cut-out area of a box spring covered by a mattress and resisted arrest once he was discovered, requiring four officers to subdue him. He now faces new charges including assaulting a police officer and failure to submit to arrest.
