Olde Magoun’s Saloon in Magoun Square, Somerville kicked off its 4th Annual Baconpalooza menu on January 8. Serving a bacon all-star menu every Wednesday night in January, this menu promises to destroy all weight-related New Year resolutions.

Fig-alicious constists of figs wrapped in smoked bacon stuffed with goat cheese.

The menu includes traditionally prepared bacon and shrimp pad thai, made with jalapeño bacon and fresh shrimp.

Stop by on Wednesday night to enjoy the Beef Bacon Blue, made with blue cheese stuffed filets wrapped in bacon. The dish is served with a port wine demi glaze.

Snack on Lobster Bacon Rangoons, made with pepper bacon and sweet corn, served with ginger plum sauce.

Chicharrones consisted of crispy slab bacon drizzled with chimichurri sauce.

Bite into their Arancini dish, a pancetta and fontina saffron rice ball with amatriciana sauce.

The Baconpalooza menu suggested pairing any of the dishes with Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier, a lightly smoked lager.

The Bacon Bomb Mac and Cheese explodes with multiple types of bacon including jalapeño bacon, slab bacon, smoked bacon, pancetta, and chicharrones.

For dessert, bacon lovers can enjoy bread pudding served warm with maple bacon, salted caramel, and bourbon ice cream.
