This local restaurant is hosting a ‘Ramen Snowstorm’ pop-up tonight

If you’re a fan of chef Tiffani Faison’s Fenway barbecue spot, Sweet Cheeks, and the restaurant’s once-regular Ramen Mondays, you’re in luck.
On Tuesday evening, amidst howling winds and gusting snow, Faison’s other establishment, southeast Asian restaurant Tiger Mama, is hosting a “Ramen Snowstorm Pop-Up.”

According to a press release, the main attraction will be a ramen rendition of miso pork tonkatsu broth served with either smoked five-spice lamb belly or char sui pork belly and featuring a five-minute egg, roasted shiitake, spicy garlic fat, and other add-ons.
The menu, codeveloped by Sweet Cheeks Chef de Cuisine Dan Raia and Tiger Mama Chef de Cuisine Matt Hummel, will also feature appetizers like pimento cheese crab rangoon with Sambal honey and duck shumai with garlic chives and mala oil, and snow-inspired cocktails from Beverage Director Moe Isaza.
Tiger Mama’s doors open at 5 p.m. Just like past editions of Ramen Mondays at Sweet Cheeks, Tiger Mama’s regular menu will not be available, and staff will serve up ramen until it’s sold out.
