Living in Coolidge Corner just got a whole lot sweeter.

Somerville’s Union Square Donuts officially opened its new Brookline shop for business Thursday, nine months after it was first reported that the company would be gaining a storefront at 409 Harvard St., the former location of Wulf’s Fish Market.

“We are open in Brookline!” co-owner Heather Schmidt wrote in an Instagram post Thursday morning. “It’s been a long time coming, so psyched to be in this neighborhood! Thank you for the warm welcome so far this morning.”

Though the shop launched for limited hours on Tuesday and Wednesday, Thursday marked the official grand opening and first day of regular business hours, from 7 a.m to 6 p.m.

It didn’t take long for doughnut fans to show up and lay claim to the sweet treats, which come in flavors like brown butter hazelnut crunch and maple bacon.

Though the Brookline location is only Union Square Donuts’ second brick-and-mortar shop, the company has been popping up all over the Boston area. Along with a permanent stall at the Boston Public Market, you can regularly buy USD doughnuts at eight different stores, according to the company’s website.
