As if ordering an Egg McMuffin any time of the day isn’t prize enough, folks who attend the McDonald’s All Day Breakfast Pajama Party on Boston’s City Hall Plaza Oct. 16 between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. will get free eggs and bacon to boot.

It’s all part of the McDonald’s “New England #HappinessTour,’’ which will bring free breakfast, giveaways, games, and prizes to the plaza in celebration of the fast food giant’s new all-day breakfast menu that rolled out Oct. 6. Previously, you couldn’t order breakfast after 10:30 a.m.

All-day breakfast is now offered at 14,300 of the fast food giant’s U.S. locations, reported CBS News, and the change cost the company’s franchises up to $5,000 to implement. The Golden Arches brought sausage, biscuits, and hotcakes to the p.m. crowd in hopes of boosting sales in an increasingly competitive fast-food breakfast market, according to CBS.
