Update, 4:32 p.m. —

Several Boston.com readers have pointed out that the Ticketmaster website is not accepting their voucher codes. While a visit to the website still shows a list of eligible concerts, you may encounter error messages while attempting to redeem your vouchers. We have reached out to Ticketmaster and will update when we hear more.

Interested in seeing Brad Paisley or Rascal Flatts for free? What about Black Sabbath or Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa? If you bought tickets using Ticketmaster between October 21, 1999 and February 27, 2013, there is a chance you’re eligible for free tickets to several major concerts in the Boston area.

As a result of a class-action settlement from a 13-year-old lawsuit over its ticketing fees, Ticketmaster and its parent company, LiveNation Entertainment Inc., have issued up to 17 vouchers for pairs of tickets at eligible LiveNation events to each customer who is part of the settlement.

All of the eligible concerts in Massachusetts take place at the Xfinity Center in Mansfield, MA. Though the list only features 14 concerts in Mansfield currently, the company says on its website that the list will continue to be updated.

To find out whether you have discounts or vouchers available, you need to log in to your Ticketmaster account and click “active vouchers.” On that page, click the link for eligible events to see what shows are available. If you’ve forgotten your login information, you can reset your username and/or your password by clicking here.

Not every concert at the Xfinity Center this summer is eligible. Shows including Phish on July 8, Hall & Oates on July 16, and Jimmy Buffett on August 20 are not listed.

While Ticketmaster says there will likely be more events added in the coming months, be warned: Not everyone who received free ticket vouchers will be able to use them.

Gwen Stefani will be at the Xfinity Center July 12.

Steven Blonder, a principal at the law firm Much Shelist and a leading attorney on the Ticketmaster lawsuit, told The New York Times that the company sent an estimated $386 million worth of discount codes to nearly 57 million people. However, the terms of the settlement only require Ticketmaster to pay out $42 million, with at least $10.5 million paid out each year. Simple math tells you that not everyone will be able to put their free tickets to use.

The company says on their website that they will allow at least $5 million worth of ticket vouchers through May 2017, and up to $10 million depending on how many customers use the vouchers for discounts of $2.25 on any ticket order and $5 toward any UPS delivery of a ticket order. It’s not clear how many more concerts will become eligible over the coming months and years, how many free ticket vouchers will be able to be redeemed for each eligible event, or how long it will be before Ticketmaster fulfills all the terms of its settlement.
