The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for all of Southern New England and a blizzard warning for much of the Massachusetts coast as the area experiences yet another nor’easter on Tuesday. Officials are urging Massachusetts residents to stay home and off the roads.

It follows, then, that Boston Public Schools are closed, as are many school districts across the region.

Museums, shopping centers, skating rinks, and libraries are closed, as well. If you were planning on heading to the Boston Children’s Museum, New England Aquarium, Museum of Fine Arts, or John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum, you’ll have to go another day.

All Boston Public Library locations are closed for the day. The Brookline Public Library and Cambridge Public Library are also closed.

The Boston Common Frog Pond is closed. The final day of ice skating at the pond is Sunday, so you still have the remainder of the week to enjoy the pond before skating ends for the season.

All state-operated ice rinks are also closed, as is the Melnea A. Cass Recreation Complex in Roxbury, according to the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR).

The Boston Public Market is closed for the day and has rescheduled all activities taking place there.

Copley Place announced on social media that it will be closed until 10 a.m. on Wednesday, but that the Au Bon Pain and Legal Sea Foods at the location remain open. The Shops at Chestnut Hill are closed for the day, as are shopping centers in Lee, Wrentham, and Merrimack. Burlington Mall is closed, and so is Northshore Mall in Peabody and Square One Mall in Saugus. MarketStreet in Lynnfield remains open, but many of its stores have chosen to close, the shopping area reported on social media. Therefore, you should call your intended destination there before you head out.
