The Internet is freaking out over rumors that two famous locals are dating
Sudbury’s Chris Evans and Milton’s Jenny Slate are reportedly an item.
Chris Evans and Jenny Slate, co-stars of the upcoming film Gifted, are reportedly now dating.
According to Us Weekly, Slate, who recently split from her husband, film editor Dean Fleischer-Camp, after three years of marriage, went out with Evans in March.
The actress/comedian and the Captain America: Civil War actor, both 34, star together in the upcoming drama Gifted. A source tells Us that the pair went on a double date with Evans’ brother, Scott Evans, at Hollywood eatery Magnolia back in March.
Slate, known for her stint on Saturday Night Live, the YouTube series Marcel the Shell, and the indie film Obvious Child, grew up in Milton, while Evans was raised in Sudbury.
Evans and Slate recently appeared on actress Anna Faris’s relationship podcast, Unqualified, where the pair gushed about each other.
“I didn’t know what to expect when I met Chris,” Slate said. “I was a little scared. I kind of felt like, ‘I don’t know him and he’s a giant man with huge muscles and he’s Captain America. How could we ever connect?’ […] The first night we hung out, I was like, ‘Oh, I could hang out with Chris for like 90 hours.’”
“Oddly enough, I’ve only known Jenny for a few months, which is insane to say,” Evans said. “We’re like the same animal.”
Is it possible the two are just good friends? Definitely.
Is that going to keep the Internet from freaking out? Definitely not.

According to IMDb, Gifted will concern a man trying to raise the brilliant young daughter of his dead sister, while battling his mother over custody. It’s expected to hit theaters sometime in 2016.
