Samuel L. Jackson Challenges Celebrities to Sing To Protest ‘Racist Police’
Samuel L. Jackson is calling out fellow celebrities who took the ‘ice bucket challenge’ earlier this year to help make another cause go viral.
The Pulp Fiction and Django Unchained star posted a video to his Facebook page Saturday, asking his peers to post videos of themselves singing the “We Ain’t Gonna Stop Till People are Free’’ song, a reference to the ongoing “Black Lives Matter’’ protests across the nation.
“All you celebrities out there who poured ice water on your head, here’s a chance to do something else,’’ he tells viewers.
The lyrics begin:
“I can hear my neighbor cryin’ ‘I can’t breathe’
Now I’m in the struggle and I can’t leave
Calling out the violence of the racist police
We ain’t gonna stop ‘til people are free
We ain’t gonna stop ‘til people are free’’

As of 10 p.m. Sunday, no other celebrities had yet taken Jackson up on his challenge.
