I am absolutely thrilled to be running the 130th Boston Marathon for The Home for Little Wanderers!

The Home is a non-profit organization that had a significant impact on my education and training as an occupational therapist. Through my fieldwork placement here, it is where I learned the values of patience, trustworthiness, dependability, and unconditional compassion as a therapist.

The Home is the oldest child welfare agency in the country, serving youth who have experienced abuse, neglect, or trauma by providing safe, stable, and supportive living environments to ensure children have the very best chance at an unlimited future. They do this through residential care, foster care and adoption, clinical services and therapies, special education programs, and supports to families. Every once in a while, they even let the OTs lead cacophonous drum circles and messy smoothie-making sessions — but that’s another story.

Thank you for reading about The Home and thank you for supporting me in my goal of raising money for this wonderful organization.
