Name: Olivia Sevey
Age: 32
From: North Billerica

I am running the Boston Marathon to:

  1. Connect with and give back to my community.
  2. Cultivate a healing space.
  3. Inspire and be inspired I have the honor of running the 126th Boston Marathon with The Brittany Fund for Trauma and Recovery.

The Brittany Fund was created in 2013 by Brittany Loring, a Boston Marathon bombing survivor, to promote the health and well-being of individuals affected by traumatic events.

I deeply believe that all people should have access to equitable opportunities to live, connect, and participate in their communities. The Brittany Fund contributes to this vision by helping folks invest in the resources needed to heal and continue leading meaningful and enriching lives.

My Boston Marathon journey came at a time when I needed to learn an important lesson about resilience and strength. Running has helped me build mental toughness and fortitude, and has allowed me to work through grief. I run to feel grounded, spacious, and connected.

The Boston Marathon is an inspiring day centered around community, determination, support, and charity. I am so proud to be running the Boston Marathon with The Brittany Fund Team.
