For Kristina Law, running Boston is a ‘lifelong dream’

In our “Why I’m Running” series, Boston Marathon runners share what’s inspiring them to make the 26.2-mile trek from Hopkinton to Boston. If you’re running the marathon, you can share your story here.

Name: Kristina Law
Age: 37
From: Natick

Running the Boston Marathon has been a lifelong dream of mine as I grew up passing out oranges to runners in Natick. I’d been too nervous to take the leap, but if I’ve learned anything these past two years, it’s that anything is possible; embrace the crazy.

I am honored to run to raise money for the Boston Museum of Science, a treasured place to bring my young boys and support their growing interest in all things science!

On Marathon Monday, I’ll be running in honor of five inspirational people, three of whom lost their lives to cancer much too soon: Kristie Vazquez, 15; Anne Hartley, 66; and Jamie Casasanta, 68.

To Auntie Mimi, who recently passed at the young age of 100, and had the craziest Boston accent I’ve ever known.

And of course, this one is for Grammy, who at a young age taught me the value of a perfectly sliced orange on Marathon Monday.
