I just ran the Tokyo Marathon on March 2, 2025, and received my 6 Star Finisher Medal. While my legs are ready to be done, my heart is not, and that is why I’m running Boston again this year.
I’m running the Boston Marathon as a member of Team Tufts. My dad, Kenny, received a heart transplant at Tufts Medical Center in May 2024. He spent just shy of three months at Tufts while he was on the organ transplant list, underwent surgery, and then recovered. Without this institution and the generosity of organ donors, my dad would likely not be here today.
I am forever grateful to the team at Tufts Medical Center for saving my dad and giving him more time with his kids, wife, granddaughter, dog, family, and friends. I am hoping to raise funds and awareness for this incredible institution and give back to a place that has given so much to my family and me.
