I am running the 2025 Boston Marathon for a cause that is close to my heart —raising funds for the emergency department at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), where I’ve had the privilege of working for the past two years. My journey to this moment began with an incredible experience running the Philadelphia Marathon in November 2024, which sparked my passion for long-distance running. But this year, I’m taking it to a whole new level with a deeply personal mission.

The tragedy at the 2013 Boston Marathon has been a driving force in my decision to run. Hearing the stories of MGH employees who were part of the heroic efforts during that time left me in awe of their resilience and dedication.
Now, as the team leader of supplies and transport in the emergency department, I am proud to represent the patients who depend on the care we provide and the amazing work my colleagues do every day.
Running for MGH’s ED is more than just a race to me — it’s an opportunity to give back to the hospital and its staff who have become like family. I am raising money to support the vital resources that keep the ED running smoothly and ensure we can continue providing exceptional care to those in need. The marathon is not just a personal challenge; it’s a way to honor those whose lives were touched by the events of 2013 and to support the ongoing work that MGH does in our community.
I’m excited to run for a cause I care so deeply about and to show my support for the incredible work being done at Massachusetts General Hospital. This is my chance to give back to an institution that has given so much to me and to our patients.
