Time to break out the winter wear.
Massachusetts could see the first snowfall of the year this coming week, with a possibility of the first flakes arriving this Friday.
According to the latest predictions from the National Weather Service, Monday’s looking mostly sunny, with temperatures around 53 degrees. Though Tuesday will see that thermometer rise to the low 60s, rain showers are expected in the afternoon. Wednesday and Thursday will see clearer skies, with temperatures in the 50s before the possible rain-and-snow combo arrives Friday.
Parts of New England could see snowfall up to an inch, with current chances of snow hovering around 50 percent. Despite the relative likelihood of flakes falling, temperatures hovering around 40 degrees mean that light dusting most likely won’t stick around.
