Boston is finally getting some rain this weekend.

The city saw 0.01 inches of rain for the first time in 29 days on Thursday — the fourth longest dry weather stretch recorded in Boston, according to 7News meteorologist Josh Wurster.

Meanwhile, on Nantucket, it was the rainiest day since Oct. 2022, according to Boston25 meteorologist Tucker Antico.

Following Boston’s dry stretch, the city is facing a “cloudy stretch,” according to WCVB meteorologist Cindy Fitzgibbon.

Fitzgibbon advises bringing an umbrella for a “cool and damp day” on Friday.

Shiri Spear, a Boston25 meteorologist, warns of “coastal flooding.”

WCVB’s Mike Wankum said to expect “cool” and “breezy” weather through Saturday, but “not much rain.”
