Mild weather is expected on Thursday before some wintery weather arrives by Friday.

Forecasters expect clouds in the morning with rain arriving later in the day. Highs are expected to reach the low 50s.

Rain will change to snow overnight. Overall, a widespread 1-3 inches of accumulation is expected, although some spots could see higher totals. Stay with Boston.com for updates.
