The long-duration storm that’s moved into the Boston region is set to continue through Friday evening.

Forecasters expect snow for most areas, other than Cape Cod which could see periods of sleet and freezing rain. The storm could linger into Friday night, and when it’s done, it’s predicted that much of the region will have received 3-7 inches.

Saturday looks dry and blustery with chances for a few scattered snow showers.
