The work week comes to an end with a pleasant day across the Boston region, but colder weather will arrive for the weekend.

Forecasters expect a partly cloudy day on Friday with high temperatures reaching the low 40s in some spots.

Saturday and Sunday look chilly with gusty winds and highs only in the 20s and 30s.
